After spending 12 years in Houston building homes and studying architectural design, Mike and his family relocated to Palm Coast and formed Machin Design Builders in 1988. Through the years, Mike has composed a team of highly qualified individuals who work with him to design and construct homes that provide the finest craftsmanship at the best value possible.
Mike is a state certified General and Pool Contractor who oversees each project from conceptual drawing to final walk through. He is the main designer on most projects and is the imagination behind the unique designs. Mikes plan includes limiting the quantity of homes he builds each year so that he and his team can give the attention required to each home and its owner.
Mike built his first custom home when he was 18 years old. Mike is also an accomplished basketball player, was a track star in High School and competed in the Junior Olympics.

Janet grew up in New Jersey and attended the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan. While at design school, she worked for an architect. She designed kitchens and baths for a high-end home renovation company for 18 years. She moved to Florida with her husband to escape the cold weather and found a place with Machin Design Builders. Janet helps with interior selections and communication through the entire build process. She coordinates the selections with the homeowners and ensures that all the interior details are installed properly. She works hand-in-hand with the sub contractors and field supervisors, and has been a part of the team for eight years. Janet enjoys helping her friends redecorate their homes, and her passion is antiquing.

Gary and his wife of 36 years hail from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to the Flagler Beach area 30 years ago with their two children, Michael and Michele. Now Gary is the proud grandfather of three, and he brings over 38 years of construction experience to the company. When he came to the area, he worked for a General Contractor in Daytona Beach doing commercial work and restaurant renovations. He then started his own detail and trim company, and provided his services to Mike for seven years before becoming a full time, valued team member. Gary has been part of the team for thirteen years. He enjoys various woodworking projects and he loves to fish.
